PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!

PRACTICE FIRST!
Overlapping and tight pattern played on my FREE phone app.

People are always asking me questions regarding how to set up numbers, how the machine works, and what denominations to play, but something that gets overlooked is practice.

Before you head out to the Casino with real money to gamble, practice Keno at home.  Unlike a few years ago, there are multiple websites and phone app.'s to mimic the real game you will indulge in, at the Casino.
I have links to those sites for you below.

If you are planning to play a one card type Keno game such as Cleopatra Keno, one card Keno, Caveman Keno, and so on, practice with your pattern/ number set up is not as crucial.  However, with four, Ten, or Twenty card Keno, practice with your pattern variations is very important because you need to become aware and familiar with the pay schedule and just how your pattern selections can impact your winning outcome.

When playing 4 Card Keno, you have to decide where to place your pattern, how many numbers you will play for each selection (thus changing you pay schedule) and whether to space each pattern apart from each other, or overlap them, and how much.  Why does this matter?  Well... when you win, it can really matter if you have overlapped your patterns in some way because you most likely will have WINS on more than one card.  If you have spaced your card/number selections totally apart from one another, then when you win, you more than likely will only win BIG on ONE card.

Playing Ten or Twenty Card Keno just multiplies the previous example above.  You are faced with so many combination choices ranging from denomination to how many coins in that denomination per card to how many cards to play and where on the board.  Then there are the endless array of pattern choices.  That is why working through these choices at home can make your visit to the Casino much more fun because you can have all these choices already thought through and furthermore, you can TEST YOUR PATTERNS and decide which ones you prefer.

Let's just say you are sitting at a machine that allows you to choose from multiple Keno games and you choose Twenty Card Keno.  That does not mean you must play twenty cards, it simply gives you the "option" to play UP TO twenty cards, at one time.  As I have said before, if you are just beginning to play any multiple card Keno game, I suggest starting with Four Card Keno and then working your way up from there.  Then you won't feel so overwhelmed with all the choices and decisions that must happen before the game begins.  On the other hand, once you have made those decisions, you can "lock them in" for as long as you like, and simply repeat the same bet, over and over by simply hitting the PLAY button.  That's where you can then sit back and relax, and enjoy the game.

Now back to the complications that plague the beginner player when playing a multiple Keno game...

A few places you can start practicing are on websites or phone app's.  Here are a few that are extremely close to the real thing:

VIDEO POKER.COM:  http://www.videopoker.com/play_keno/  You must register at this site, but it is free to use most of their games.  If you are already familiar with Keno games at a Casino, you will be very impressed with the similarity of their Keno games and the wide selection that they offer.  You can play one, four, and multiple-card Keno, as well as, Cleopatra Keno for FREE!

If you have phone app.'s to choose from, just search for FREE KENO GAMES by Robert Suh.  His games are as close to the real thing without taking or spitting out money!  You will really enjoy them and they will help you work out any of the decisions that you would otherwise have to make, once at the casino.

Good Luck and please let me know how this has helped you. If you have any specific questions, you can always ask and I will do my best to find you the answer(s) you are looking for.

I would love to hear about your luck at the Casino and pictures are always great!

See ya!  Kim
